BancSabadell d’Andorra’s asset management company has received the 2021 award to the “Best Asset Management Solutions” in Andorra, which is awarded every year by country by CFI.co.
The award jury found that the bank’s ability to innovate and continuously improve its investment fund offering deserved to win this year’s “Best Asset Management Solutions” award. The decision was also influenced by the fact that the BancSabadell d’Andorra’s innovation has been accompanied by very rigorous management, based on prudence and risk control, under the highest ethical and professional standards in the sector.
In its report, the jury specifically highlighted the launch in 2020 of the BSA Sustainable Future Fund the first fund under Andorran law, focused on investments selected following ESG criteria (“E” for environmental, “S” for social and “G” for good corporate governance). In 2020, BancSabadell d’Andorra also offered retail investors its BSA New Technologies Fund, which achieved a yield of 27.95%, in only half a year operating (since June 17). Finally, in May this year, the bank started to market the new BSA Asia Fund, which selects Asian companies and countries that are expected to perform better over the next 5/10 years.
BancSabadell d’Andorra’s asset management company is led by Sandra Estebe and has a very stable and cohesive management team with more than 15 years’ experience. It currently manages 549 million euros and, in the last 3 years, has increased the investment fund management by more than 8%. It markets and manages a wide range of funds and investment companies, which currently include a total of 27 FIMs (13 available to all types of investors and 14 to qualified investors) and 9 SICAVs.
In recent years, BancSabadell d’Andorra has mainly made sectoral or thematic investments such as those focused on the development of technology, climate change and socio-demographic changes, which anticipate a transformation of society and generate opportunities for investment. These structural mega trends stand out for their growth potential and allow customers to invest in long term across geographies and sectors.
